Pheasants

<< Reeves Pheasant

Syrmaticus reeves

Reeves pheasant are found in forested mountains of Central China.

They feed on grains, grass seeds, leaves and in seeds etc.

The male are know to grow very long tails, upto 6 feet in some cases. The hen is drab as in most pheasant and is smaller than the male.

Female lays 7 to 14 olive coloured eggs.

Male gets its own beautiful colour and feathers in second years of age.
