Sloth Bear
 One
female sloth bear was captured from a madari by Tarai East Forest Division
on 7th may 2004 and brought to Nainital Zoo.
The nostrils of animal were pierced with a thick nylon
rope and its mouth was covered with a thick lather bend, because of which
the animal was not able to open its mouth properly.
After bringing it to Nainital Zoo, necessary treatment was
provided to the rescued bear.
Presently, it is one of the attractions of Nainital zoo..
